Mr. Brown started his career with a short stint at the Departments of Deeds Registry before joining the Directorate of Public Prosecutions as a prosecutions counsel for over 8 years. After which, he pioneered Brown and Company Attorneys. In his years as a prosecutor, he was one of the few Attorneys who was instrumental in the formative years of the Asset Forfeiture Unit. He litigated in the high-profile cases involving the National Petroleum Fund and other cases of national importance. He succeeded in recovering millions of Pula amassed from Serious Crime related Activities to the state coffers.
Mr. Brown is an attorney with over 12 years of experience. A great interest in deal brokering,i.e. bringing investors together and facilitating investments in the local and internationalspace where there are opportunities. Providing Secretarial services for multinational and localcompanies. Providing Legal advisory services and contracts management. He has facilitatedacquisitions in the excess of BWP 10 million. Among other strides in private practice, he has been involved successfully in among others, procurement litigation, out of court settlements in many cases and matrimonial cases. His other areas of expertise are cyber-crime law, mediation and negotiation and Land Law and criminal defense, not surprisingly so, having been on the other side of the aisle as a prosecutor as alluded to above.
Mr. Brown oversees a law firm of over 12 employees Providing legal services with specific interest in Trusts and Estates, Wills, Conveyancing, Debt collection, Civil Litigation, Asset Forfeiture litigation, Labour and Employment, corporate law as well as Criminal defense. Mr. Brown is a chairman of MSDM Group (Pty) Ltd, a BITC Accredited property company with interests in the mining town of Jwaneng, currently developing state of the art mall, the first of its kind in the town. I also sit on several boards of companies as a legal advisor and director, with interests spanning across financial instruments, procurement, transportation and business consulting.
Furthermore, he is a managing Director of Hallmark Capital (Pty) Ltd, a company with interest in acquisitions of property. He is also a managing Director of Zainyard Supplies, a company that specialises in procurement. He is a director and sits in the board of several other local companies.
